How to Build Your Self Esteem and Focus on Your Positive Qualities [Video Blog]

Recently a study was conducted at the University of Wisconsin at Madison that explored how your self esteem is effected by Facebook. The results were intriguing. What the researchers discovered was that people who look at their own profiles on Facebook have a higher self esteem than those that look at other profiles. I explain more about why this happens in the video below:

So the next question you’re probably asking yourself is how do I focus on my positive qualities or how do I know what my positive qualities areThese are great questions. The truth is that you are full of great qualities that are waiting to be explored and shown off with confidence, even if you’re not sure what they are right now. For example, maybe you have deep chestnut brown eyes, or silky hair, or maybe you have a laugh that brightens peoples’ day. Maybe you have a giving heart and volunteer your time frequently.

As, I mentioned in the video, one of the first exercises in the 8 Steps to Becoming You program is digging into what your positive qualities are and how you view yourself. By understanding your positive qualities, writing them down and accepting them as your own, you will be able to keep them in mind throughout the program and your day-to-day activities, even on the most challenging days. If you’d like to go through this exercise, I’ve made it available to download for free within the [free example kit].

Building your self-esteem takes work, but with some time and effort you’ll be at the top of your game in no time.

What are some of your positive qualities? What are you most proud of?

Couldn’t agree more! I love looking at my Facebook page, it reminds me of all the wonderful friends I have all over the world, and the fabulous times we’ve had together. I will spend today remembering that 🙂
